The Michigan Family Farms Conference is more than just a conference. Year after year, farmers, educators, and food system professionals gather to network, learn, and share resources and experiences. Year after year, we come together to celebrate diversity, expand our knowledge of sustainable agriculture, and strengthen the supportive network of farmers that we know is essential for building resilient farms.

Michigan Food and Farming Systems (MIFFS) and the conference planning team are looking for a new logo to represent this dynamic history and vision. We're looking to you, our talented community of producers, educators, students, activists, and artists, to design a logo that encompasses diversity, sustainable agriculture, small and family farms, youth empowerment, social justice, and cultural inclusivity.

The theme of the 17th annual Michigan Family Farms Conference to be held in February 2020 is, "Nurturing Resilient Farms - 2020 & Beyond."

The target audience for the conference is beginning, historically underserved, small-scale, sustainable, family farms.

The deadline to submit your logo is July 19, 2019. The winner of the design contest will receive five tickets to the Michigan Family Farms Conference and be acknowledged on MIFFS' website, social media, e-newsletter, as well as in outreach for the conference and in the conference program.

Technical Info:

The logo should be created in vector format so that it can be scaled up infinitely without quality loss.

Please submit logo in one of the following:

  • AI – Another true vector format, only it is proprietary to Adobe.

  • PDF – Editable file that works very similarly to Adobe Illustrator format.
